Candidates who participated in the OAU Post-UTME Screening Exercise can now check their admission status online through either the JAMB CAPS portal or the university’s official admission portal.

How to Check OAU Admission List on JAMB CAPS

Currently, candidates can verify their OAU admission status only on the JAMB CAPS platform. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Visit the JAMB E-Facility Portal.
2. Log in with your JAMB email and password.
3. Scroll down and click “Check Admission Status.”
4. Select “Access my CAPS.”
5. Tap “Admission Status” to see if you’ve been offered admission to OAU.

📘 Meaning of JAMB CAPS Admission Messages

Here’s what the different admission messages on your JAMB CAPS portal mean:

• Admission Offered: You’ve been officially admitted. Proceed to accept or reject the offer.
• Admission in Progress (AIP): Your application is under review by JAMB for approval.
• Recommended: The university has forwarded your name to JAMB for consideration.
• Not Admitted: You haven’t been offered admission yet but don’t lose hope; more lists may follow.
• Pending: Your admission is still being processed. Keep checking regularly.

What to Do After Accepting Your OAU Admission

Once you’ve been offered admission into OAU, you must accept or reject your offer via CAPS. You can do this in two ways:

Option 1 Online (Recommended):

• Log in to your JAMB CAPS portal.
• Click Accept Admission or Reject Admission.

Option 2 – By SMS:
Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.

After accepting, make sure to print your JAMB Admission Letter for record keeping and school clearance.

Checking OAU Admission Status on Mobile

If you’re checking your admission on a mobile phone and the “Admission Status” option isn’t visible, switch your browser to Desktop Mode.

For Chrome users:

1. Tap the three-dot menu icon.
2. Select “Request Desktop Site.”
3. Refresh the page to view the full CAPS interface.
