LASU Sandwich Degree Admission Requirements 2025

General Basic Requirements

Applicants must possess any of the following:

• Five (5) O’Level credits (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) relevant to the chosen course of study at not more than two sittings, plus two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or NCE Merit Passes in relevant areas.
• A University/Polytechnic two-year Diploma Certificate in the relevant field with at least Merit/Lower Credit.
• Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics are compulsory for all courses.

Specific Subject Requirements

• English Major: Credits in Literature in English and English Language.
• Economics Major: Credits in English, Mathematics, and Economics.
• Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education: Credits in English, Mathematics, and one of Agricultural Science, Biology, or Health Science.
• Political Science Major: Credit passes in English, Mathematics, and Government.
• Health Education: Credits in English, Mathematics, and one of Agricultural Science, Biology, or Health Science.
• Mathematics and Science Majors: Credits in Mathematics, English, and Physics.

Other Acceptable Qualifications

• Holders of Registered Nurse and Midwifery Certificates, Environmental Health Diplomas, or related certificates with 5 O’Level credits including English and Mathematics.
• ICAN (Part II) and CTS (Part II) are acceptable for Economics.
• Candidates with certificates from recognised Arabic institutions may be considered if they meet other entry requirements.
• NCE (Arabic) at Merit Level is acceptable.
• LASU accepts any other Arts/Social Science subject in place of Yoruba Language.

Programme Duration

• Four-Year Degree Programme: For candidates with NCE/ND Merit/Lower Credit and above.
• Five-Year Degree Programme: For candidates with WASSCE/SSCE, NABTEB, and NCE who do not meet the four-year admission requirements.
