The AFIT Kaduna Announces Orientation Programme. (AFIT), Kaduna, has officially announced the schedule for its Students’ Orientation Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The event is designed to welcome newly admitted students, familiarize them with campus life, and equip them with essential information for a successful academic journey at the prestigious institution.

Theme and Schedule of the Event

Themed “Start-Blocks for a Successful Academic Journey,” the orientation will take place on the 27th and 28th of October 2025 at the Ibrahim Alfa Auditorium, beginning at 0745 hours each day.

The programme promises an engaging lineup of activities, including welcome addresses, lectures, and interactive sessions aimed at helping students settle smoothly into the AFIT community.

Commandant’s Welcome and Guest Lecture

The Commandant of AFIT, Air Vice Marshal S. L. Rabe (GSS, psc, fdc, fawc(+), BEng, MSc, MNIM, LAME, COREN), will deliver the official welcome address to the new students.

In his speech, he is expected to highlight the core values, academic expectations, and learning opportunities that define AFIT’s commitment to excellence.

A guest lecture will also be delivered by Dr. Abigail A. Abenu of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her presentation will focus on how students can build strong academic foundations and develop essential life skills for personal and professional growth.

Purpose of the Orientation Programme

The AFIT Students’ Orientation Programme is designed to:
